It is believed in traditional Chinese medicine that the human body has 360 regular acupuncture points, which are called ‘main meridian points’.
There are 12 main meridians and 8 extraordinary meridians in the human body. Besides, there are about 40 commonly used points outside of these 20 meridians. These points called ‘Ashi point’ or ‘painful’ point.
Appropriate combination of acupuncture points and stimulation may lead to the stimulation of energy and blood flow, improvement of the functions of the internal organs, relieve pain, benefit the skin and tissues, and expel pathogenic factors from the inside and outside of the body.
The meridians or channels create an energy flow called Qi throughout the body that is responsible for overall health. And commonly used meridian points are particularly effective in doing this work. From medical point of view, acupuncture points stimulate the central nervous system. This, in turn, releases chemicals into the muscles, spinal cords and brain. These biochemical changes may stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities and promote physical and emotional wellbeing.

Painless Acupuncture for pain-free life:

Acupuncture is a traditional medical practice that involves inserting small, smooth needles into the skin, which can make many people anxious due to a fear of needles. However, acupuncture needles are made of stainless steel; they are very thin, smooth, and much smaller than the needles used for medical injections. When a needle is inserted, you might not feel anything at all, or you could experience mild sensations during the session, such as warmth, tingling, numbness, a crawling feeling, dullness, heaviness, or even a slight electric-like sensation. These feelings are completely normal and expected.
Acupuncture is a regulated healthcare service in Ontario (by CTCMPAO) and Acupuncture needles are to be sterile, nontoxic and for single use only.
